Woman Bolts Away With Hubby’s Property

The police in Lagos have declared a housewife wanted for allegedly bolting away with her husband’s property.


The woman, identified as Obianuju Chukwuokoro, nee Damian, who was married to Unachukwu Damian about 10 years ago, was alleged to have dumped the man and carted away all the properties in their flat, worth millions of naira.

The incident, P.M.News gathered, happened at their residence, at 15, Nureni Agbolagade Avenue, Igando, when the husband had left for work. P.M.News gathered that both had married for 10 years without a child and there had been pressures from the man’s family for him to take another wife, which he refused.

Investigations revealed that the woman’s action was influenced by a letter sent by the man’s brother from the village in Imo state, threatening to come to Lagos and chase the woman away from his house.

On seeing that her husband had left for work in the morning, the childless housewife, it was learnt, chartered a lorry and carted away all the properties in their flat. When P.M.News visited Igando police station, where the husband reported the incident, the husband confirmed the incident, expressing shock at the woman’s action.

“I have been living with her for the past 10 years without a child and I have not thought of marrying another wife. But with her action, it has shown that I have been living with a strange woman for 10 years,” he lamented. When P.M.News visited the man’s flat, the rooms were empty.
