Global scores $100m gig in West Africa

Offshore contractor Global Industries’ wholly-owned subsidiaries, Global Pipelines Plus Nigeria and Global Offshore International have bagged a contract with an unnamed West African client valued at $100 million for a project in offshore Nigeria.

The project is scheduled to begin in January and will provide the transportation, installation and related services associated with the replacement and repair of a 24-inch pipeline offshore Nigeria.

Global will be using its pipelay barge Cheyenne, assisted by a number of support vessels, to install the 24-inch replacement pipeline.
